Default Which Composite?

I am interested in a Composite guitar and want to know what you think of Rainsong and CA. If you had your choice, which would you choose and why? I am not talking about cargo size, rather standard size guitar.

I prefer CompositeAcoustics. My impression is that they're a more high-tech and more innovative company. Also, I think their guitars sound better than the Rainsongs (however, this is like comparing Taylors to Martins to Goodalls . . . very subjective).

I owned a Rainsong WS1000 and it had a great sound, but after 7 years I was DYING to hear the sound of wood again.

(Haven't played a CA, yet.)

I needed a guitar to take along on vacations, that could take some ruff treatment and that would not break my heart if someone or something bad happened to it. Ovation was my choice. Not the best sounding guitar un-plugged but when its jacked into a PA or amp it does shine.

I'd go with the original, Ovation Adamas.
Funny how that wasn't a choice..........

I played both before buying a Rainsong WS 1000. I liked the CA's a lot, but preferred the Rainsong.

But like SongwriterFan said, it's like comparing Martins to Taylors.

Been totally impressed with CA. I think the guy that mentioned Adamas, last name may be Kaman. I think they started this whole thing but let others innovate past them.

Default Composite Acoustics as Far as Non Wood Guitars Go...

Why CA? One word Tone. Of course the lack of worrying about Relative Humidity and Temperature is nice too.

I had the opportunity to play a Rainsong WS 1000 I believe and a very similar CA body style at a local store, and for my taste the CA sounded better and more balanced. I've been a wood player for many years and still love a beautifully crafted wooden guitar but I recently bought a CA Cargo with electronics to gig with and I cannot put it down! I'd really like to say that I still have GAS and am looking for the next holy grail but I can't see why this little guitar hasn't answered the call, at least funtionally and sonically. It is probably my imagination because the thing is carbon but it seems to be opening up the more I play it!!! Rainsong or CA??? Play em both then decide. Both great instruments.

Either brand... I have gotten to play more CA's at a store in Houston and have only played 2 Rainsongs, but I was impressed by all of them.
