Default Crazy Taylor ES question.

So, I just acquired a Taylor 110e.
Seems great. Has one tiny issue.
There seems to be no center detent on the volume knob.
Is this a huge issue?

Correct. Think of the volume knob as from 0 to 10 (or 11 if you prefer), and the treble/bass knobs as boost/cut. When at the center detent there is no cut or boost.

Now on to the hard part: remembering on stage which one the volume is.

I just wondered. All three knobs on my 150e have a detent at 12 o'clock.

At least one of my guitars with ES has a center detent on the volume control, but others do not. I suspect it is a question of which pots are on hand when they build up the control board.

I wish there was a distinguishable knob on the volume control too. Different color, different shape - something.

For my customers I offer to add something to distinguish it from the other controls. Most people prefer to recolor the indicator from white to something like red or blue. If they end up not liking it, they can just replace it. Some guys I know stick a strip of low tack tap right next to the knobs and label them.

I use all sorts of "devices" to remember things.
The ES is simple. The Bass is at the back.
The treble/mids is in the middle, and the volume that controls what comes out the front is in the front.
