Sounded nice on my cheap work laptop speakers here at lunch! Nice sparkle and playing!! What guitar are you playing?

I'll give it a listen on a better system tonight at home unless my wife has other ideas.

I have one TLM103 mic I use for vocals. I like it a lot.

Where have I heard that song before???? Sounds familiar???

Thanks for listening !! The guitar is a Martin D-35 with brand new D'Addarrio Nickel Bronze strings on it. The recording is a very good representation of what it actually sounds like. I also like that I'm not hearing any noise or hiss in the background.

the sound is fine, but you need to get some more gain. it's very low on the db scale.

sounds good, though.

Yes I know, it's a matter of getting the mixer in Sonar set right before exporting. The signal coming into Sonar is low too, and I needed to normalize the tracks, which brings the signal up considerably, but getting the output set right is a trick in itself...that's why I'm doing all these tests, to get it right. Trial and error is my only hope !! So thanks for the input !! I've been keeping it low to eliminate and noise or hiss.

If the signal going into Sonar is too low then your gain on your audio interface will be set too low. Just turn up the gain until you get a hotter signal into Sonar.

Personally I'm not a fan of normalising tracks except for the final stereo master when I would use a multi-band compressor and limit at about -0.3 Db.

Here's a new recording of my Taylor 12 string going into the two Neumanns approx. 24" apart...with some processing done in Audition and Sonar's Pro Channel.......
