Wow !

Steve Kinnaird was so right about the ebony accents against the bubinga. The pore filler reveals the depth of this bubinga set. This will be a beautiful one. You may not keep it very long for yourself Fred !

The guitar is now in the spray booth, one more spray session tomorrow and it will be curing for 4 days. I am trying a new finish called Brite-tone, a water based product that is high build and quick curing so I can level sand and buff sooner. So far I think it is a good product but not as easy to spray as the Nitro Lacquer I have used up to this build.

Here are some photos taken after the 1st 3 coats.

The body and neck are rough buffed and will be continued up to Xfine compound and swirl removal polish before neck and bridge added to the body.

The bridge and neck are installed, and the bridge pin holes are reamed to size and slotted to accept the strings. Strings on tomorrow then 1st time in its new case.

That looks beautiful. A rib and arm bevel combination add a great degree of comfort. Excellent workmanship!!

I got the strings on and a rough setup completed and now waiting for the guitar to settle in before the final setup. I hope to get a video clip and some better pictures in the next few days.

Fred you look like a happy man with this guitar in your arms.

I 've played one of your bubinga guitar, how does it compare ?

Jean it would be kind of comparing apples to oranges as I have built 3 different sizes of Bubinga back and side guitars and they all have different top woods. One thing in common is they were all well recieved by everyone that played them. The comments so far from everyone who has played this one is that it is a loud resonant guitar and does not sound like a small body guitar.

I hope to get a video clip done and do the tree photos next week. If you were here I would have you play it for sure.
