Default could this be love??

...been messing with my cheap ole squire teles with some surprising results lately.
so, i play this great arctic white standard tele in gc one day...go home and play my own....hhhmmmm...

i do this a few times...hhhmmmmm....

yep, you know the story..

its love...true love (i think).

never been a huge tele kinda guy...mostly archtops and semi-hollows for electric with a few strats, even a firebird thrown in but..WOW!...its just changed my whole perspective, not to mention writing and playing..what an epiphany!

must be love.....

Oh no! A tele-demic is upon us.

I have been falling in lust with this Tele FSR chambered mahogany I bought recently. I just got back from Harry's and Indoor storm, asking about new bridge, saddle, and tuning machines for it. I was also listening to a Carr Rambler amp at Indoor Storm that weighs in at half of this Johnson Millenium 150 I have, but sounds twice as big and rich.

I've never been much of an electric player, but this Telecaster has my attention. It is telling me that I WAY overplay the guitar.

Ain't that da truff!!! Electrics and flat pickers don't mix very well I know. Sometimes I wished I was more of a fingerstylist when it comes to playin' the electric!

'lectrics and 'coustics are, indeed, very different creatures...kinda like dogs and cats....i love them both but, 'lectrics require much more attention to details (like cats) while 'coustics will just love you in spite of your failings(like dogs)

i use both picks and fingers (sometimes at the same time even) on both but, MUCH more sparingly and attentively of electric..i think the term "reckless abandon" fits my acoustic style..."they" say it works for me but, don't show yer kids....

as for the chambered teles...some time ago i picked up a very nice thinline re-issue squire tele...great guitar (with some tweeking) but, its an "illusive" creature to me. i've found some uses for it where nothing else quite fits the bill but, the standard is more suited to my current interests...subject to change at any given moment....

spent 2 1/2 hrs playing the new girlfriend yesterday and i think some of the others are getting jealous....

"jealousy" is such a wasted emotion...
