Default Acoustic Amp help

Hi everyone,
I just bought a 816ce and am looking for a small high-quality amp for it. I live in a condo so I can't go too loud, basically I'm looking for a high quality low watt amp. I just want to mess around with some delay and won't be playing out, just entertaining friends. I'll spend a few hundred but don't want to go much over $500. Any recommendations?
Thanks for your help!

You might want to have a look at the Ultrasound AG30 and DS4. They are quite popular among AGF members. The first has a street price around $200 and the second can be had between $450 and $500.

Definate +1 on the ULtrasound Amps. I have an older DS2 as well as their DI Plus. They work very will with the ES system. They have a mid shape switch which cuts the mids and boosts the bass and treble.

I then can adjust the bass and treble to my tastes. It's been the only acoustic amp I've used.

Hard to beat the AER Compact 60 for great sound in a small package. It ain't cheap buy they are fantastic. Less than 12 cubic inches and less than 20 pounds. Excellent reverb and the vocal channel is great, too.

I'm quite happy with my DS4 for amplifying my Larrivee (fed from an L.R. Baggs iMix) or my mandolin (via an AT-2020 plugged into the amp).

If you don't mind used, there are usually quite a few Roland AC-60's on Ebay this time of year, and typically they can be purchased in the $300-$350 range. Great little amps with nice effects in a small package.

If you don't mind a little more weight, I have a great condition Yorkville AM150 that just sits in my music room since I bought my Soloamp. A bit more power at 150 watts with 2 channels, tons of effects, and twin 8" speakers with horn and tweeter which would cover a good sized room if you ever wanted to play out. I would sell that one for $225 plus shipping or somewhere in that range. PM me if you have interest and I'll send you some photos.

I really like my Roland AC-60. Small, lightweight, portable, flexible, and great "stereo" sound with the famous Roland chorus effects. Right at your budget, too, and even less if you find one used.

The 50 watts Ultrasound is really clean. It's like the natural sound of the guitar a bit louder. The effects are B to B+.

The Carvin Ag100 for the money is a great sounding amp. In the past, they have had major reliability issues, but do a review search, maybe that is a thing of the past.

I have owned/used a Fender Acoustasonic, Carvin AG100, and now use an Ultrasound. The Carvin, for the moey is the best deal. The Ultrasound is really pristine and clean, and I thought the Fender to brittle and top heavy.
