Default Martin necks?

When did Martin start to make necks with stacked heels and wings on the head stock on some models?

I have two dread jrs. One all sapele 2016 model, has stacked heel and wings on head stock. The other is a 2015 spruce top which has a one piece neck and I was looking at a 00015 special on eBay which appears to have wings.

Wings started showing up on Martins a few years ago. Cost cutting thing.
