Thanks Wayne, This making guitar thing is infectious isn't it? I'm glad to hear I have been some part of your journey. It's good to know we're not alone in this madness!

Thanks Mike! Exquisite is a fine and well appreciated word!

I put it on the scale today 3lbs 12oz I'll need to tell Tom to be careful the first time he picks it up!

Thanks Again!

A fantastic looking guitar....world-class koa, great design aesthetics. That it is a feather weight portends of good things.

Thanks OddManOut!

A guitar doesn't have to be a featherweight to sound great but there are aspects of a very light guitar that I love. For me it enhances the playing experience. Feeling the guitar vibrating while I play it, it just feels more alive and helps me connect with the guitar. I am not alone in this and it helps me sell more guitars once people play them.

Thanks Again,
Mark

Due to all the stuff involved in this whole life concept, the guitar is done and ready to pick up, reports from Mark are good...I still can not get over there to pick it up until the 16th. I don't know if we will record a sound clip or not, my singer that I planned to use is not available, another gig I guess If I do, it will be a simple little thing just to try and demonstrate the sound, not demonstrate my playing.

I am very excited, it will be the lightest guitar I think I will have held. Can't wait to see the Koa in person!!!

Beautiful. Any lighter and it may become invisible which would be a shame. I hope it brings all you want. Will look forward to your feelings!

Well the 16th has arrived and Tom was out to the shop this morning to pick up his guitar. I was able to coax him into doing one quick recording with his new Koa parlor;

Thanks for viewing!
Mark

Raucous applause! Hooting, cheering, bringing the house down!
Mark, you made another masterpiece, this one for Tom, who is probably the most popular guy on the AGF, because he just comes across as everybody's best pal and all-around great guy. This splendid, out-of-this-world guitar could not have gone to a more worthy recipient. Well done!

And Tom- there's much to celebrate in your life today as well, eh? That new guitar sounds ravishing. Actually it sounds every bit as lovely as it looks! The wonderful deep sonority in the bass end, the clear and defined midrange, crystalline trebles... sustain... overtones... emotional power... It's ALL there. Thanks for making this recording.

So great to see two of the people I admire most, celebrating this new guitar! Congratulations to you both.

I'm sorry I couldn't take the ride today, just being there during that recording would have been worth it! The depth and richness from that small, light guitar is really astounding. It's a stunning instrument in looks and sound, a marvelous guitar. Tom, that was beautifully played and a guitar like that can, and will, provide a lifetime of joy. Congrats to both the builder and owner!!
