Lol as I said above I much prefer the N2 over the CA Legacy I had, the N2 is not a deal breaker for me, the old CA would be. That is probably why the N1 will be relegated to a special order. The irony is that I would probably never special order it even though I prefer it. If it never has a truss rod I think a special order N1 would actually hurt your resale value cause most people will go trust rod ever time. Even though I know they will probably never use it.

N2 neck
Hey Ted, I am thinking of purchasing the Bluegrass 12 fret and I know it has the N2 neck, after reading all this maybe you can shed some light on the thickness from the fret board to the back of the neck at the 7th fret?
My main guitar is a Bourgeois Vintage D and the neck measures about 3/4 to 7/8 thick I believe it is a modified V, and my Taylor Dn5 is slimmer now that I really look at them but I change off all the time. Is this N2 neck similar to my Vintage D in thickness? thanks , Jerry |

Is there that much difference between the Taylor 12 and 14 fret neck? The measurements below are said to be at the 9th fret of the 14 fret?

The T5 neck seems to work best for me - the N1 is next. Thanks... |

Ed, the N1 neck is 0.860 at the 7th fret while the Taylor T5 is 0.848 at the same spot. |

So the N1 is almost identical to the Taylor.
