Default SOLD!! 2012 Breedlove 000 Master Class Revival Series

PRICE DROP!! I really want to move this guitar to make room for my new Goodall ! I have relisted it on Reverb at $3299.00 + $75 shipping. If we can work a no fee forum deal through PayPal FF, I will take $2900 and ship to CONUS. This truly is a sweet instrument, and a steal at this price.

---2012 Breedlove 000 Master Class Revival Series --$3800 plus shipping to ConUS only. PayPal “friends” transfer preferred. For sale only, please. ( I have this listed for more on public sites where I have to pay a commission.) Asking Price REDUCED TO $3500 INCLUDING SHIPPING.

This is a rare and extraordinarily beautiful finger style guitar I acquired a year or so ago on something of a whim in trade for a custom Collings SJ with special appointments (which I valued at between $3800 and $4500). According to Breedlove, this guitar is one of only ten built—perhaps the only one with the wood options it has. I was blown away when I first played it, and of all the guitars I have owned and sold over the years, letting this one go is really hard: But it just isn’t the right guitar for my style of play, and it sits mostly unused. I want to put the money towards something (as yet unfound ) that has as close to this guitar’s sound as possible, but that is set up more for my playing style.

This is the actual OOO guitar that Breedlove used at the 2012 NAMM convention to introduce its Master Class Revival series, at the time the very top of the Breedlove line. So it can be seen in this video, readily identified by the pattern on the back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6to...el=GuitarWorld ---look for it at about 1:25. It is built with a stunning master grade Adirondack top and Cocobolo (the “Uber-Rosewood”) back and sides, with Koa binding and lots of abalone. The abalone purfling, rosette and snowflake fretboard inlays are beautifully done. The build quality is apparent. The Adirondack top has no runout and has some beautiful silking with just a hint of a little bear claw. It has had a Fishman Natural 1 pickup installed. Assuming that no guitar is mint once it leaves the shop, this one is a close as you’ll find. It has been played but I can find no dings or defects in it other than very faint finish playing marks here and there and one tiny discoloration on the Koa binding that looks original.

This guitar retailed for $5999 in 2012. Breedlove subsequently decided that its OOO and OM bodies were too similar and discontinued the OOO, making this guitar truly almost one of a kind. According to Breedlove, if one of their Parlors were to be ordered today with all the appointments of this OOO, it would cost $8850.00.

I will flat out say that this instrument plays waaay over its pay grade. I watched an interview with Tim May and Preston Thompson in which Thompson acknowledged that he consulted with Breedlove in the design of its Revival series, and I believe it. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d496...channel=TimMay at about 1:40). The guitar is loud, clear and articulate with a powerful expansive bass and clear bell-like trebles, great note separation and the mids are not as recessed as with many rosewood guitars. The neck set up plays like butter. I have played numbers of Martins and Gibsons, Lowdens, Collings, John Walkers, Goodalls and Sexauers, including some with Madagascar RW or Cocobolo and European Spruce sound woods, and none of them have beaten the rich balanced tone of this guitar. This is admittedly a subjective issue, but I live a mile from James Goodall’s shop in Fort Bragg and have not been able to find one in his shop that is better than this guitar’s tone. I also think the voice of this instrument is distinctly sweeter and warmer than a Collings Madagascar and German Spruce OM I recently bought through this forum. As said, if the neck and string spacing were different, I would hang on to this treasure forever. With the highest quality workmanship it incorporates and the tone it produces, this guitar was a steal at its original retail price.

Great guitar, she used to be mine! One of the ones I wish never got away! Wish I had something I could trade you for her!

Best of Luck!
Dave

Default coco breed

I owned that guitar originally in 2012. Beautiful. Traded it and wish I hadn't.

If it was short scale, it would have been a keeper for me!

Default price reduction --

Dropping asking price to $3650 and I'll pick up shipping to CONUS.
This is really a once-in-a-rare-while opportunity to get a Cocobolo and German Spruce guitar that plays way over its price point.

Price drop to $3000 including shipping. I'm about to put this out on consignment at Tall Toad music in Petaluma CA, and I 'd just as soon have it find a home in the forum community.

I am located in Fort Bragg up on the Mendocino coast. However, I regularly travel to Santa Rosa and San Francisco to see my two kids. I could easily arrange to schedule a visit over the next week and bring the guitar along. Where in The City are you located?

Took some of the orange out of your pick of the back.....

Are you sure that is Koa body and neck binding?
