I’m depressed, and I am OK with being in that state.

It will change soon enough.

I am making progress in teaching myself to play piano.

Not too long ago, I bought an Akai MPC-X (http://akaipro.com/products/mpc-series/mpc-x), and they just released a major firmware update, which installed smoothly. My intention is to put together a small synth studio, so I bought all the Roland Boutique modules (http://www.rolandus.com/blog/2015/10...utique-series/) and the Akai as its hub center. All I need to do now is get my work bench in the den cleaned off so I can set it all up.

Overall, I am really getting adjusted into retirement, and have lots of interesting (to me) musical projects lined up that involve continuing to learn the instruments I am interested in making my music with.

My wife and I attended a class two evenings ago about teaching English as a second language. I got some really good ideas that I tried out today in our volunteer teaching session. It went well.

So, lots of good stuff going on.

Tony
