Let's see a picture George. This isn't a contest just curiosity about where we all get our heads down at night, a bit of social interaction. Whether we live where we do due to choice or 'to financial/work restraints is neither here nor there. Our homes are our homes. No judging need be involved.

We live in an age of easy, immediate outrage at others, while ignoring the beam in our own eye. It is common and easily ignored, but I don't have to like it. What I do like is the pictures I am seeing here. I knew before I joined this forum that we have members from all walks of life. As we have grown we have added members from all over the globe. I like that. I celebrate it! I hope others will figure out how to post pictures of where they live, large or small, rural or urban. In this way we become less of a forum for strangers and more of a community of friends.

That's some beautiful post and beam work! Nice place and a great photo - looks like it could be featured in a home magazine. And those Morris chairs are the perfect choice for that space

I bet it's like heaven sitting on that veranda in the evening. And I do love my boats so I'm jealous of your instant access to the canal.

Here is a two for one. Helping our daughter move into their new home a few years ago and that is the back of our house right behind them. Makes it great for babysitting.

My whole space (all in) is 510 sq ft, so 1,500 would seem like a mansion to me.
That being said, I love seeing these places.

Looking through this thread is like looking through an exclusive travel brochure. You all have some beautiful homes - all of which make my humble abode look a bit too 'ordinary' to be of any interest here.
However, I did find a photo of one of my old 'digs' on the internet... This is the Tupton Coal Seam at Newstead Colliery where I spent many an enjoyable hour before it closed in 1987. Whilst not being a match for all of your 'digs', this would be by far the hottest place of them all. |

Let's be happy for what others have and content with what we have ourselves. No need for rudeness.
I think we all ought to meet in Paul's living room to play guitars and enjoy the incredible view! |

Wanted to post a satellite view from Google Maps but it won't let me save the image.
Here's a link; https://www.google.com.au/maps/place...!4d149.9062424 Just an ordinary house in a nice rural coastal town ..... absolutely overflowing with Christmas holiday tourists at the moment.

Hey, you'all have some wonderful places, lovely places to pick (Haasome, does your family let you have your friends over to pick?) and great views (Australia and Colorado, and all the rest).
As for my husband and me, we live in a modular home, used to be called a trailer home, and we love it. It's completely comfortable, open concept, so plenty of picking/playing in the livingroom, or on the deck or in our garage. If that's not bad enough, or good enough, we also have a trailer home in Arizona where I spend almost all my winter picking with friends. Best of both worlds and countries. I love seeing where people live, and how they live. I'm sure you all worked hard to get these places, as we did. No sin in being happy. Keep 'em coming, guys! Jan |

Great set up, neighbors with your lovely daughter. The dog's gonna be upset though, if his human puts a table in front of his favorite window
