Default I hate when this happens!!

I just slammed my finger, left hand, in the car door!!! Yeeech...Not hard enough to break it, but I will be unable to play for a few days, and it'll bruise. I really hate doing bonehead stuff...hello ice pack.

Ouch!! Tough luck!

A couple weeks ago I was wondering if I was getting my chef's knife sharp enough. Found out one evening that it was plenty sharp as I was slicing tomatoes and inadvertently my left pinky. Fortunately, I missed the tip (barely) so I wasn't out of it for more than a couple days.

On the bright side, I no longer have any doubts about my knife sharpening.

you know, it's entirely possible that a cut is worse than slamming your finger in a door. maybe we should have a poll...haha...but it seems like when you have a cut, it takes forever to heal, and it's a whole other type of pain...either way, it sucks, huh?

I do handy-man type work as a side line
and so often look at my hands and think, hmm,
how will this affect my playing tonight?

When I was in high school, I had a musical friend whose dad played guitar in a band. I was there one day and he came home, and showed us his ring finger. He had smashed the tip with a hammer, and had a huge purple blood blister. It took up almost the entire tip - third finger of his fretting hand.

He had a gig that night, in two hours.

I asked him what he was going to do. He said, "I guess I'll just be making a lot of Rock 'n Roll faces."

Default can't read this!!!

I am really sorry for all the accidents all of you endured but I must admit I could not read any of your posts.

The simple thought of something happening to my hands or fingers freaks me out.
I could narrate some of my ordeals too.. nothing major mind you, but it would be of no help to no-one.

I did try to read all answers but as soon as I realised a hand or finger's accident was being described I had to skip.
Sorry.
