Very comfortable to play...12 fret means less string tension and easy reach.
Thanks for looking!

If this was a standard 812 and not the 12 fret I would be all over it. Good luck with your sale.

I think it is safe to assume this is less then 12 feet

Kidding aside, there's a standard scale 812ce at the UTGF classifieds

Thanks for the interest! Nope, it's not a 12 footer...

Personally, I prefer the 12 fret model over the standard model. It's more comfortable to play and has a fuller sound to my ear.

Thanks again!
Bruce

If you haven't tried a 12-fret, you may be missing out. My last two guitar purchases have been 12-frets, and I DO get what that is all about: less reach, still plenty of access to the upper frets (especially with a cutaway), and a richer sound compared to the same model with a 12 fret. If you ever have the opportunity to play a 12-fret vs a 14-fret of the same model guitar, you will likely see/hear a real difference.

The Taylor 812ce 12-fret just might be, in my opinion, the best all-around guitar they make. And that is speaking at an 814ce owner (those guitars are often called Taylor's "flagship" model).

Captain Jim,

I agree with your comments. The 12 fret models are great.

Thanks

Default 812

Hi Bruce!

Can you advise the nut width scale and saddle spacing?

Thanks!

Bernie

Hi Bernie,

From the Taylor website:

Neck width is 1 3/4"

I'm sorry, I don't know the spacing at the bridge. Someone else may chime in.

Thanks,
Bruce
