Arrow Hamblin SJ Engelmann/Ziricote - Amazing build

Hamblin SJ Engelmann Ziricote 2004 in EC $4695 net for a cash sale.

Trade value $5K. The only guitar I need now is a concert classical or perhaps a high-end crossover, and I will only consider guitars that have not been drilled for a pickup. I just sold my Bourgeois dread, so I'm not in a hurry for cash, so no low offers please.

Original owner sent the guitar back to Kent Hamblin in 2014. Kent reset neck under warranty, polished frets and setup. Guitar plays like a dream! I have email from Kent regarding his setup on this guitar if you are interested.

Check the comps: http://www.luthierscollection.com/hamblin.php
These are not available often as this is the only other one I could find online.

When I bought this a year ago, I said I would never sell it. Lately I find myself reaching to my newer purchases (my McAlister C-12c for fingerstyle or Schenk RD for flatpicking). Yet, if I had to keep only one guitar, I would keep this one first for its tone, ease of play and versatility. This guitar should really be played daily! Will ship in its beautiful blue Ameritage gold series OHSC.

You can play any style music on this guitar. It responds to the lightest touch or you can dig in with a pick and it gets crazy loud. Amazing tone and best feel of playability in the neck. Best neck I have ever played. Local luthier said he never had a guitar this fine in his shop (took it in only for his opinion when first purchased).

SJ body style
16" lower bought and 4.5" deep at tail
Engelmann spruce top
Ziricote back and sides
1.77" nut with 2.28" string spacing at saddle
One piece mahogany neck with dual action truss rod
Koa binding on body, neck, and headstock
Schaller tuners with ebony knobs
Clear pick guard installed during build
Blue Ameritage Case (very good condition)

Regarding blemishes, only one is noticeable, a 3/4" long scrape (zoom in on pic above) and there is a slight impression above it, to small be photographed. This could be drop filled. There is also a slight mark on bottom side, likely from a pants pocket. Also cannot be photographed and could simply be buffed out.

PayPal fees (if you go that route) are not included. Actual insured shipping will be charged. I have good AGF references and 14 years on eBay with 100% feedback (seller jdokos1). An absolutely world class guitar by a great small builder (recently retired) from Telluride CO. Please PM me with any questions and offers.

You are exactly one day too late! Sorry man. I would have loved to have her but I just bought another gal, but a free bump for a beautiful guitar.

Default Hamblin

I've limited my stable to a total of 2 guitars,

(So yes, as difficult as it is to do I have committed to having only 2 guitars)

Which two was a difficult decision with so many excellent guitars to choose from and by so many excellent builders, I arrived at my two:

one is a Marc Beneteau and after a year and a half of searching the other is a .............. Kent Hamblin

Kent's guitars really have a feel, sight, sound and balance all their own that reflect his particular gift and talent in instrument building.

What I found in my Hamblin is the sound I had always been seeking, and quality at every point.

I would encourage anyone considering this guitar to investigate Kent's building a bit and choose this excellent instrument.

I love the playability and sound of my Hamblin. The new owner will not be disappointed in this one. Best of luck for a quick sale.
