On the Washington side of the Columbia River just across from Hood River, OR there are two Windsurfing sites, one is called "Swell City" and the other about 1/3 or so of a mile away back to the east is the "The Hatchery". In between the two, there is now a private little windsurf launch site on a slab of rock and steep approach to the Columbia from the rigging area which we developed and sailed from and it was known as "Basalt Beach"

My porn name would be Banjo East Bay, before East Bay it would have been Banjo Route 2

Thank you all for posting. It was very interesting to read all these posts explaining the thought behind each member's forum name. When I first signed up for Ebay, in 2000, and had to choose a user name, I tried numerous different names and each time they said it was either taken or not allowed for whatever reason. Ebay suggested a different user name each time I tried and I finally gave up and accepted george2p14 that they suggested. This name means absolutely nothing to me other than my name is George. I was happy to get the user name "guitar george" on the AGF

Most places I'm registered as Gitarzan. But someone beat me to the punch here, long ago...

So, on the Bike Forums, where I am indeed Gitarzan, they have a goofball forum called Foo. Some guy posted a picture of his new pet rat, and asked for name suggestions. I suggested Snootch.

So within a few days I found this place. I found that Gitarzan was taken so I thought I'd use that rat name I suggested. And I spelled it wrong. So now I am Scootch.

I should gone with anything else. I hate the name Scootch.

I assumed you were named after the guitarist / songwriter, who wrote the Stones’ “It’s All Over Now” and the classic, “Across 110th Street.”

About five years ago, my family began visiting Costa Rica, and it’s now literally become our home away from home. “Pura Vida” is the country’s most common saying, which translates to “pure life,” and it means to enjoy all that life has to offer... like playing guitar!

I like dogs. I'm almost always surrounded by several dogs. Right now, we have three:

an almost 18 year old chihuahua "Nafta"
a 5 year old shih tzu "Sheeple"
and a 10 month old pomeranian "Quentin"

My porn name would have been Flopsey Nancy.

No, but I have it on good authority that you pay for stupidity like he displayed in about forty years.

Isn't that the truth? But he survived for 40 years, and meanwhile, Keef and Sly are still alive.

I figured out a long time ago, that if I was going to hang out in online forums, and not have to keep a list of which unique username went to which forum, I needed consistency...

First name and last initial makes it easy...
