Just two for me.

My Dad and I used to watch Don Messer's Jamboree (That's dating myself!) and I was always hoping he would have Roy Clarke on as a guest.

Roy Clarke
Ovila Hachey (You don't recognize that name? Ha! Ha! My brother-in-law).

When I started playing when I was 16, I was listening to a lot of different music other then what my peers were listening to. So as a result, my acoustic guitar playing influences came from musicians like Maybelle Carter, Joan Baez, Elizabeth Cotten, and Odetta. In fact, a funny story was that I had learned Joan Baez's version of Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, and played it one day at school. Someone was shocked I knew a Led Zep song.

Since getting my Taylor 458 12-string several weeks ago, I've been looking for good 12-string songs and groups that featured them. I re-discovered the Seekers, which could be said to be an Australian Kingston Trio with a female lead singer and no banjo. Come to think of it, other than chronology, they don't have much in common....

I don't own a 12-string guitar but I've always loved the sound of the Seekers. They were an early influence to me as well as the Beatles.
