I spend a fair bit of time with my cameras around the Cathedral peninsula here in Durham, there's always something different to see at various times throughout the year. The first shot is a silhouette on a cold winters evening on the north side....





...... this shot in the Cloisters took a long time to realise after the initial idea, the time of year/day, camera position and weather had to be just right....

Hi Magirus, the shot of the Cloisters is very atmospheric. I always feel this area of any cathedral is the place of the greatest 'feeling'.

We’re still figuring this out. My wife, her sister and brother (and spouses) are aiming to celebrate their Scottish (Watson) ancestry.
