Very interesting little film and beautiful product. Two guitars finished each week is darned impressive - I guess it's the clever jigs (and loads of experience) that allow that. I've only played a few Goodall guitars, but they were all outstanding.

OK, when they're polishing the guitar towards the end of the video, is that Meguiars car wax?

I wish they would have shown that guitar being played after watching it be built.

I assume those stacks of finished necks on the shelving are CNCd as well as the bridges. Nothing wrong with that in fact I think it is a good idea to get more predictability. So the hand building seem to be the body and not all of that. Again I think thats great but an observation. Wish there was more on Goodall on the net. That X on the go bar deck looks really wide.

Awesome video, I'm so glad they made this and posted it on youtube!! I did a shop tour a couple years back. I'm always blown away how Goodall guitars will outdo pretty much most things I compare them with tonally. Including a lot of 5 figure guitars I've played. I have just a ton of respect for their instruments!!! I can't say enough good things about Goodall guitars!!! Where they really shine is when you compare them to other guitars in that $7000-$40,000 price range.

Great guitars, and great people too. My 1990 Goodall just keeps sounding
better every year, and is still rock solid. You could spend a lot more, but
it's hard to find a better built and better sounding guitar.

I don’t normally put my guitars in a signature. But I’ll include 2 incredible ones tonight.

Goodall MCJ (Mahogany Concert Jumbo)
Goodall KCJC (Koa Concert Jumbo Cutaway)

Great video - makes me want to buy a Goodall...which I guess is the idea!

One of the sweetest guitars I ever played was a Goodall - one of those that you kick yourself for not buying when you had the chance...only didn't buy it because it wasn't what I had gone into the shop for..there's some short-sighted thinking for you!

I showed up at their shop one day while in the midst of my first build and was trying to decide on a neck joint. I had a million questions, and was hoping to get lucky. They invited me in, stopped what they were doing, gave me the full shop tour (despite my hesitation at being in the way - I was hoping for a quick conversation, not a full tour) including a look at the rack of necks and an explanation of their neck joint and why they use it. I use the same joint today....butt joint, but with different inserts and a dowel pin. They were gracious and kind and passionate about what they do and the precision with which they do it. They have it figured out...

Incredible video. And a video that I DID NOT need to see, because I'm now dangerously juiced over Goodalls for about the 77th time, and I just bought another nice guitar.

Great video. Maybe people will stop calling it a "small factory"...

What I found interesting is that he "tuned" the assembled guitar by sanding the top.

I got kind of depressed. When you see every step from start to finish you realize how much work goes into building a guitar. And I wonder, is it worth it?
