Will they still be applicable to acoustic guitar?

I would say very little I'm afraid. The theory (Blues scale, progressions and chords) will be similar
As far as I know (and I'm no expert) electric blues is usually played with a pick and consist of strumming rhythm parts (in a shuffle style) and single note run lead licks. There is usually a separate bass player.
With acoustic blues the emphasis is on getting a alternating (or monotonic) bass going with the thumb while picking out the lead with your fingers.
