SWR Cali Blonde - US or Mexican?
Looking at a Cali Blonde on craigslist and the owner says it's about 5 years old. He can't tell if it was made in the USA. How can he verify that it is US made? Thanks

If it was made in Mexico, it will say so on the rear panel, just to the right of the SWR emblem. At least it is on my CA Blonde II. I know that some folks say that the newer units assembled in Mexico are not as good but, mine has been a great amp and I've not had any problems at all.

I often think that some 'issues" are miths. One person has problem and broadcasts it far and wide and it becomes a "major problem" for all products. I will fall into line a little here in that given the choice of a new made in Mexico or 5-year old used made in the USA, I would choose the USA product. But that's just me and Lou Dobbs looking to keep jobs here in America.
