Default How to achieve jazz / funk acoustic sound?

I've been wanting to replicate this acoustic electric sound in the videos of this artist, but am having trouble finding the gear to get to do so. I've seen it done using line 6 ux2 and pod farm, but I was wondering if there was a better way of going about it.

Thank you for the advice, the help is thoroughly appreciated!

They sound like pretty much any standard pickup to me. Maybe a little reverb.
