I have to admit, the more demoes I hear of the BodyRez, the more I think it's not the pedal for me. What I hear is an increase in the high end with the pedal engaged. It's almost like a presence control. At first it's not bad but the more the pedal is turned up, the worse it get. I felt as though the tone was a bit ear piercing on the highest BodyRez setting for both clips/demoes posted in this thread. I think at first I hear improvement but the more I listen, the more I hear an even more artificial tone.

Than again , keep in mind that a recording brings out every single detail and nuance that is usually lost or not noticed in a live setting. The lr baggs with my Taylor sounds really nice live, but after this test recording, I never noticed how quacky it actually sounded until I turned on the bodyrez. I guess what I'm trying to say is that if is already sounds really nice live, after hearing this pedal on the recording, I'm pretty sure this thing will shine in a live application. I'll keep you guys posted. I'm gonna try it live for the first time tomorrow through our sound system at the Church.

That's a good point. I do definitely hear a sweet spot with the BodyRez. I am kind of kicking myself that I did not buy one the other day but at the moment I only have a Lyric in my guitar.

I'm curious...for those of you that are using an EQ with the Body-Rez, in what order do you have them in your chain ?? EQ first or Body-Rez first ??

Well my Body-Rez came in the mail today....Sounds great with the knob set at the 3:00 position. I'm running my D-35 with a Lyric pickup into the Body-Rez then into the Venue DI/EQ>Session DI> Marshall AS50R amp....sounds really nice bypassed, sounds better with it on....I guess the best way to describe the sound is it's fuller and richer....I really like it....I played with it for about 30 minutes...and installed it into my pedal board. It's now a permanent fixture. I worked up a good sweat...it sounded so good I had a problem putting the guitar down....every song I tried playing sounded really good.

Well today I tried the Body-Rez out with two other guitars, the 12 string Taylor 450 with a Martin Gold Line ust pickup and the D-18 with a Baggs M1A pickup....

Both sounded fantastic. Just what I needed !! Ya this was a great addition to my rig.

Mine should be waiting for me in the mail when I get home. If it works nice, I'll put my just-bought Aura Spectrum up for sale (I just bought that used off of this forum or reverb - cant remember which). If the Body Rez works nice, I'll sell the more pricey Aura. and an orchid muting DI.

Thanks for your reports. I just like simple - not looking for the perfect tone, just nice plugged in tone and simple.

Remember I have mine installed with the Baggs Venue and Session DI...the combination of all three works very nicely....I'm now having a renewed love affair with my Taylor 12 string....

I used mine yesterday live at the church. Taylor 114 with lr baggs m1a. My favorite setting was at 12 o'clock. It took out the mid range quackiness of the lr baggs and gave it a nice "finished" sound to it. I think I'm keeping this one

Hey guys. I briefly tried it out yesterday, and I was disappointed.

I used my Gibson J45 with Baggs VTC UST. I think it actually sounded better without the effect on. It sounded too chorus-y? I will try again today, as I only had a few minutes to play with it before practice.

I tried it with my LG2 American Eagle, which has a simple Baggs Element pickup in it - I think. It might be the Fishman UST, but I am not sure. Anyway, the improvement in tone was more noticeable on this guitar and pickup. I found that setting it to 1:00, and then dialing back Bass on my Fishman Solo, improved the tone a lot. But very weird... with the effect on, and no adjustment to lower bass EQ, the effect adds a very pronounced "woofy" bass, which is too much.

This made me immediately think that the Baggs VTC is a pretty good pickup.

I'll fool around a bit later today and report back...

Same here - disappointed!

I tried it with a Maton - which incidentally - is a great guitar with a great pickup and it sounded just like an emulation effect rather than anything natural. Tried it in all positions and nope - not for me.

It's going back for a credit note to buy something else more useful.

That said - all my other TC stuff is awesome.
