Doyle Dykes Signature Electronics
I thought this was an interesting debut from Godin and, more interestingly, a neat combo of electronics people on this forum have proposed before.
I believe Doug Young (and others) who don't care for the Baggs Anthem due to the Element's tone have asked why the LB6 couldn't be the piezo source within the system. Baggs has generally stated that the mixed phase crystals of the LB6 made it a struggle to work within the crossover circuit of the Anthem's preamp. Apparently Doyle had the same request and Lloyd's team developed him a custom system with the LB6, Lyric, and the Session preamp. I'm sure the primary difference here is how the two pickups are blended but still, I already prefer its sound to the Anthem. I wish this was available as an after-market system. Godin guitars are highly underrated, even here in Canada. I have always wanted one of their Multiac models to mess around with. This one might be perfect for my needs. The pickup sounds fantastic in the clip.

My luthier devised a dual source system using the Seymour Duncan Wavelength UST (18v, much greater headroom than the Baggs UST) in conjunction with the Baggs Tru-Mic. It requires an external dual channel preamp, but it sounds dramatically better than the Anthem. (This is the same system that Newton Faulkner deploys in his stage guitars).

Very cool! I heard Doyle demo a prototype of this guitar at the Chet Atkins convention last summer. It sounded fantastic, but then of course Doyle can make anything sound like a million bucks.
