Well, this one may be just that guitar.... Eye candy everywhere...tone to die for.

This is a guitar that leaves you wanting for nothing. Not only is it one of the most beautiful guitars you'll ever see, but in my humble opinion it is tonally one of the best you'll ever hear. This guitar has tone that just goes on and on. It has the richness at every level that many of us only dream of finding. It is louder than most guitars I've played, and yet articulate, warm, rich in tone. The lower bout is 15" which is smaller than most guitars that sound anywhere close to this good. Again, one of the best I've played...and I've played a few .

A little more about this one:

The inlays: Jimmi Wingert did all of the headstock inlays and the inlays on the fingerboard. John Kinnaird meticulously inlaid the paua abalone all around this beauty. Stunning is the only word that describes the beauty

Top grade woods:

The back and sides: African Blackwood really needs no introduction...but... has long been recognized by classical guitar builders as the "holy grail" of tonewoods. With a strong responsive taptone that surpasses even Brazilian Rosewood, it can contribute great volume, power and brilliance to a guitar. African blackwood is denser and harder than either ebony or Brazilian rosewood. It is perhaps the ultimate wood for power, clarity, punch, and harmonic complexity. It has a tight, but robust sound; powerful and crisp; a dark bell-like overtone with a slow response.

The top: Beautiful bearclaw Spruce and has some serious wow factor in person. Not only beautiful but provides powerful response to the lightest touch.

Binding: Some of the prettiest figured Cocobolo you'll see which is continued in the arm bevel.

Hi Tom, thanks for the interest. I sent you a pm with the details. Bottom line, built for the Memphis guitar show in 2015. Yes I am the first owner and I have had it for a pretty short time, but due to some financial issues, am not in a position to keep it.

Great guitar with a full warranty to the buyer according to John.

Thanks, it is truly stunning, and although not having played a John, I know how good a Steve is....with this wood combination and the experience of the luthier, I don't think anyone should have a worry of disappointment if they purchase this beauty. If I were in a position to jump on it, I would take this one home. I need to consider selling some to make room when one of these comes up! Anybody want a BRW, Adi Slope D from Dana??????haha

John Kinnaird builds AMAZING INSTRUMENTS. Knowing him and the three of his I have played, I can recommend this beauty wholeheartedly!

I have two of John's instruments, and my pal Steve has one that is here at my home till he gets here to rescue it. I have a third one being built on John's bench at the moment, and I would be in serious trouble if I had this amount of cash ...

Wow, just WOW. And of course, Mike/Woody is a pleasure to deal with and a wonderful top shelf seller!

Alex, thank you for the kind words. As many know, I've locked onto John's builds because I have rarely found better guitars for the money. People will be hard pressed to find this much guitar for this amount of money anywhere. If you look at Jimmi Wingert's work and the pricing, you'll quickly know that this kind of inlay demands a pretty penny. Not to mention woods that are almost beyond belief beautiful

Tom, thanks again for your kind words. I can assure you that the second someone strums this one for the first time, after they wipe the slobber off of their chin , they'll pinch themselves in disbelief that i was so dumb to sell this so cheap. Almost 8 grand doesn't sound cheap until you get this in your hands. But, tough guitar markets are here...which brings guitars like this to many people who otherwise couldn't buy them.

Thanks Steve. But this one is much much more than a wall hanger. This one certainly looks amazing, but the tone is...well...just wow!! I tried to record a couple of songs with it yesterday, but I did a rotten job with the recordings and need to do another. But I can tell you this guitar fills the room, and has more than just "tonal nuances", it has tonal epiphanies. I mean, it just jumps off the page how good the tone is. Nobody will be disappointed hanging it on the wall, but playing it is where the real joy is.
