What would be some examples of good eq/preamps for single guitar / solo performer, small room.

Thanks.

I have used a Dtar Solstice into my K8 and it worked great. I am now using a Red-Eye and a Source Audio programmable EQ. I prefer the sound of the Red-Eye.

Try to get your hands on a Line 6 L2t speaker. It is a 800 watt bi-amped 10" woofer/tweeter, works in several configurations, includes DSP, and sounds better, to my ears. It also includes a 2 channel mixer, sweepable mids, acoustic modeling and effects. I consider it the real deal. It is, in fact, my acoustic amp.

For solo gigs I use a Fishman Tonedeq eq/preamp- into the DBR10. The Tonedeq is straight forward to operate; no menus or function buttons. It's essentially an EQ/Directbox with essential effects that have analog controls. Its signal path is analog and effects are mixed in parallel so the analog signal isn't changed by its effects. To my ears, is the most transparent I've had a chance to play through. But enough with the sales pitch already....

A good quality eq/preamp is essential, I read good remarks about the ZOOM A3. There are highend products out there to. Considering using a PA for a acoustic amp, the main things beyond a good eq/preamp, is a quality reverb effect and compressor.

If you're just one guy with a mic and a guitar, there's no reason that I can find to set up as if you were a full band.

Of course, I suppose a bigger place could merit using more than one speaker, but I've done this for years, and even outdoor gigs are fine with one K10. I think you're gonna love it!
I assume you mean that you use the K10 as your main speaker? I am more so looking for it to be my personal monitor on stage but not the primary main speaker for the audience. I had hoped to try this last weekend but we ended up having a sound guy so I did not need it.
