On to the next amp Trial
Well, to catch folks up. I am on a quest to get a small amp to use as a guitar monitor on stage at church and to accompany my 60 voice children's choir. The amp would again be a monitor that could provide enough full sound for the to hear the guitar accompaniment. There is a need for at least one mic channel.
I first became intrigued by the Henriksen the bud due to it's very compact size at 9x9x9 inches all around. I tested it and even though I would say it is a fine quality amp all around, I sent it back due to the fact that it's timbre or tone color was not to my liking. It seemed that it would be a better fit for someone looking for a jazz amp or someone looking for an amp that had a lot of cut or bite. I prefer a more natural sound. So now I am moving on. I am very familiar with the Schertler product and I do love my Unico. I just want to get something smaller. Shertler has recently revamped their line and they offer the David and the Jam that may suit my needs. The Jam is intriguing due to the parametric mid control but it is larger than I probably want. The other that has my eye is the AER Slope Compact 60. I love it's shape. Perfect for my use. It has been a very long time sine I have been able to plug something into an AER. I remember it seemed to my ears to be trying to color the sound warmer to compensate for overly bright pickups. My Dazzo is already "warm" and doesn't an additional help in that area. Well, so I am guessing a bit here. I would like some opinions from the forum. If you can speak to experience with the AER Compact 60. Has it worked out for you? Or not? Why? Is there another solution that I am missing? Fishman Loudbox line is okay. I can easily go somewhere and plug into one of those. Acus? Any others? I used to own a Fishman Acoustic Performer Pro. It would be awesome for me but it has long been discontinued. Bummer.

Did you consider ACUS monitoring product?
I did not try them but there are usually smaller than schertler and uses the same components (former people from SR technology). The Bandmate100 is only 10 x 12 x 15 inches (Source: Amazon) Cuki

How about an UltraSound DS4? Inexpensive, fairly lightweight, and although I've never auditioned one, many players have raved about their tone.

Godin ASG line is very good. They're Schertler-like.

One of these for <$220 on Presidents Day sale at MF (plus 8% points too). Its an AER Compact 60 clone (right down to the color switch) to which a phantom power switch, tilt leg, AUX input, and standard speaker stand adapter have been added.
The Bugera AC60 at <16 lbs.

That Bugera is interesting. I wonder just how much of a clone it is under the hood. This happens in so many industries when companies copy a good thing. Most of us on the consumer end don't know the difference. They could have copied every component exactly or substituted each with an inferior version. HArd to say. Thanks for the lead though.
