Going through them all now. Gordon Lightfoot was definitely one of my influences. I posted this some time back.

Don Quixote - Thanks for listening.

B-side of the Sundown 45 - immediately liked it better than the hit all those years ago. Never got around to recording it until a couple years ago. Too Late for Prayin'......turn the volume slider up on the Box player before listening...

Hi Sal,

I really like the strumming sound you get with bare fingers, and your vocals are "beautiful", as always.

Thanks for posting!

Your stuff is always enjoyable listening, Pitar. That's a wonderful vocal on top of some intricate picking. Thanks!

Hi Fitness,

I didn't know this was the B side of Sundown, talk about mixed messages!

Love your version. Really, really tasty.

Snowed in here (Connecticut) tonight, it almost feels like Canada with all these great posts coming in today

Thanks!

Fitness, splendid job on one of my favorites from GL. This is a complex melody and you knocked it out of the park. Great guitar work as well.

Which guitar(s) were you playing?

Thanks for the kind words guys - I wish I could tell you which guitar - very possibly a Cervantes Rodriguez PE I had for a while. So many come and go here

I just listened to it - definitely a Cordoba C9 cedar I had, not the Cervantes.

Sorry I couldn't pull off the string section - LOL

Thanks for the listen. This is an old recording on a steel string guitar. I don't remember what it was. Thanks again.

Default If You Could Read My Mind

I love Gordon Lightfoot's songs so, I really enjoyed listening to all the fine renditions posted so far on this thread. I hope you all don't mind a multi-track...Here is my rendition of his classic hit If You Could Read My Mind.
