Help with wrist
So recently when I try to play a whole song through, my wrist just kills me!! I don't know if my hand position has changed or what...does this affect anyone else and does anyone have any suggestions...proper wrist postioning maybe?

Could you be squeezing too hard? Also, are you releasing the hand/wrist tension as you move between chords?

Hey. Same guitar. Nope, no change. I've been playing a bit more but not enough to warrant the wrist pain, I don't think. Maybe just 10 min extra a day. Yep, same sitting position. It's not excruciating pain by no means but its noticeable to where I can't play a song without having to shake my wrist out. I'll take a picture of my hand position here in a few, and let you see that, as it might be helpful. Thanks

Hard to tell without seeing you play. What kind of angle is your hand from the wrist? You should really avoid:
Instead, keep it straight or somewhat upward angled. |

I teach beginners to be sure their wrist is well under the raised neck of the guitar. This puts the headstock at about shoulder height, and means the wrist has very little bend in it, unless the thumb is too high. This position allows for clean, clear fretting with minimal pressure. This somewhat classical position seems to make things easier for most beginners, and I'm guessing that it might help you, too.
