Collings 0002H SS Cutaway - *SOLD*
Collings 0002H SS Cutaway
*SOLD* I recently listed this beautiful Collings 0002H SS Cutaway here "For Trade", but then after some 'contemplation', I realize that I REALLY need to thin the herd. So now, here it is again- "For Sale".. I love everything about it. It is all 'Standard' Collings 0002H specs; other than the cutaway & short scale length 'options'... The Sitka Spruce top has some beautiful 'Silking' on it... The 000 body size is to me a sort of "Swiss Army Knife" kind of guitar. It's articulate & complex enough to be the Perfect Fingerstyle guitar, but also has more than enough OOOOMPH! to play along with most flatpicking Dreadnaughts. The cutaway is great if you do a lot of capoing; as I do. So then why is it for sale? .....Unfortunately; I just am not into the short scale aspect of it. Many players love & seek out short scale guitars, but I guess I'm just not one of them. As I'm sure most of you here are aware, the shorter scale has many Positive benefits: - Easier to play / fret as there is lower string tension - A slightly "Sweeter & Rounder" sound than there long scale counterparts. A bit "Fuller" sounding? - If you have average to smaller size hands; the slightly shorter neck will be more comfortable for you. ( I have BIG hands. So that may be part of the reason I'm letting this one go?...) The sound is "Out of this World" Beautiful! For instance; when you strum an open G chord for example, there's this HUGE amount of (((((REVERB))))) that just flows out of the sound hole & the back of the guitar actually VIBRATES against you. Amazing! The guitar is Super Responsive! Just the lightest touch on the strings bring them ALIVE! Instrument is in 100% all original; EXCELLENT Condition! Has a properly installed strap button on the heel. Comes complete with the original Collings TKL hardshell case which is also in MINT condition. I've done lots of "Good Business" here & on Reverb. Will be happy to provide references. No trade interests... Here are the specs from Collings: Top Sitka spruce Back & Sides E.
