Really wanting a McPherson Sable
After watching several videos on youtube, I'm really interested in a McPherson Sable. It really sounds great, even compared to a wooden McPherson. The Sable is VERY impressive!!!! I wish it had stainless steel frets!! That is the only thing I dont' like about the Sable is nickel frets.

I played the touring model. Honestly it was my favorite overall of every CF guitar I tried. The neck is unreal, I was FLYING on that neck. So comfortable, even though it's a short scale. And it sounded incredible, it sounds so much bigger than it is. If that was in my price range that would have been my CF choice. Don't get me wrong, I love my P12 and it was close enough that the bang fer buck factor I got the P12 for was just too compelling (plus I needed CF for some upcoming gigs.)

I too think the Nickel ads warmth. I used to play with stainless steel strings in my electric days. MAN they were bright. Nickel strings were nicer, so I would imagine Nickel frets are nice too. |
