I've mentally dismissed the Eagles so many times mainly because of massive over-exposure in their heyday. But hearing this I'm reminded how great those songs and performances really were.

Bravo for these fun/excellent episodes!

Michael

Another GREAT rendition, Dale! LOVE the guitars in this one... all of 'em!

Perhaps "over saturated" by exposure, it's still very hard to deny how strong and influential a band that the Eagles were... not to mention all these great tunes they wrote and recorded...

Thank you, again, for posting this... and PLEASE extend my (our?) thanks to the boys in the band, many times over!

I was going to comment on the 'New Kid.. ' post, then I saw this one. I've been, over the last several days, looking up a bunch of you guys covers on youtube. Every single one is an absolute killer, it doesn't matter that not every song is top of my my personal pop, but whatever it is you guys nail it.

I have my faves of course... I will say that if there's a downer there at all, it is that the assorted people that do the clips don't get together sometime in a hall somewhere and rip it up for a few thousand appreciative people. Sigh.

I know I'd be there. Might be a bit far to come to me though... Do what you do.

Kris

You even used a Glenn black guitar. Nice and tight but...

The fifth note of the riff absolutely MUST be bent a half tone sharp if you are to "inhabit" Joe Walsh's funkiness. Watch him perform it: The left shoulder always goes up on that note as he pushes it sharp.

Of course, Joe is just twisted enough that not everyone wants to "inhabit" him. Especially the face.

But another great cover!

Michael - i think i understand - such a popular band their music can become almost cliché, but when i worked this up i think i peeked at musical genius underneath each of them. Thanks so much for listneing.

jseth - thanks for the very kind post and i will relay the message gladly - thanks for sharing your time with us!

Kris - i really enjoyed reading your post and want to say thanks for the thoughtful kind words and for your time to check out so many of the vids - sincerely appreciated! We do have one live show a year - number 2 coming up in Nov - we sell tics and rent a local venue in Lexington. It's some additional work dusting off the older tunes we've recorded but we try to do at least two from each project we did that year - this year we are going back to the artist we covered in year 1 and playing one from them as well. I think the set list is between 25 & 30 tunes. We sold out in a day this year and hope to maybe do two nights or larger venue next year. I don't know where your home base is but if you can ever make it tickets are on me and it would be an honor to have you.

Bob - great post seriously lol when reading. that LITFL sig riff isn't easy! Not sure i ever totally captured Joe (the master) vibe with it. On a side not, i've watched that vid several times and i LOVE BG, but does he seem lost to you on this tune? He never IMO 'adds' much to it and just seems to try to hang in there. Could just be my wrong interpretation of what i see Thanks so much for again sharing music and friendship.

That's what I saw with Mr. Gibbons, too: kind of "deer in the headlights." But I love his work. I'm really impressed with the work you guys put into these videos!
