A Case Option for A RainSong 12 Fret Parlor
The Gator GWE ¾ Economy Acoustic Guitar Case is a good fit for a RainSong 12-fret parlor. It took about an hour for the stuffing to compress where closing the case took no minimal extra effort (due to the depth of the P12). Here are the numbers in inches:
Option / Total Length / Body Length / Lower Bout / Depth Gator Interior / 38 / 19 / 13.74 / 4 Martin 12 fret 0 / 37.75 / 19.125 / 13.5 / 4.0625 RainSong P12 / 37.5 / 18.8 / 13.3 / 4.1 This case is not a top-of-the-line wood case and I don’t think worthy of being used for checked luggage. But it is as compact as it is going to get and a good option for that occasional gate checked carry-on. MF honors their sales (10% off for this order) for this product and it was only $62 delivered. They must get them bulk packaged and their shipping box was poor and was pretty chewed up by UPS. There were two dents in the side of the case but not enough to bother returning. Other retailers have it for $85 and likely that is with better packaging. Here are some pictures with a dreadnought case for comparison. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_...G16LTZsNTA4N0k https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_...FJPM0R4djFETXc https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_...3U4V0JsWmVmRGc

Any "Martin size 0" case should be a perfect fit.
Given how nice the TLK case is that came with my Shorty, if I order a CH-PA I shall most certainly order with the factory case option.

I am guessing RainSong stocks a case that could handle a 14 fret Parlor, which would make that case a few inches longer. This Gator case just barely fits a 12 fret 0 and would be too short for a classic 14 fret 0-15. The TKL case that came with my H-DR1100N2 is a step up from the Gator Economy case with out question, but if you look online at case weights you do get punished for that extra quality. My CH-PA1100N2 came with a nice Boulder gig bag which will have its utility too.

AZ is correct that any size 0 12-fret case will fir the RS Parlor, but that Gator seems like a great deal at $62, Jon. And I love the snug fit at the headstock. When I get back to LA on Tuesday I will try an RS Parlor in the Martin size 0 Geib case just for fun.

In order to leave "no stone unturned" in this thorough "case study" I offer the following data:
GS Mini Hard Bag External Dimensions (rounded down to nearest inch as that is how I measured one at some time in the past): 39" x 16" x 6" Gator GWE Economy 3/4 Case 39.75 x 15.75 x 5.75"
