Default 2 1/16 string spacing??

I've got a Takamine OM that I've been chasing for a while. I love everything about it but the string spacing seems impossibly narrow. Driving my crazy. I've never had a Takamine larger than a parlor which definitely had wider spacing. Is this normal? Its so hard to find proper stats online. I'm measuring 2 1/16 if I'm doing it correctly. Is there enough room to get slotted saddles made to fix this?

Its hard to get a perfect picture while balancing a metal ruler and holding a phone, but here is an idea:

It's prob closer to 2 1/8. My tan15c takamine dread was similar, slightly less than 2 1/8, which was spacing of my d28. Ive heard some tak oms also used that spacing, along with 1 11/16th nut. But I think newer om models use more traditional 1.75 nut and wider string spacing, so i guess depends on what model.
