Default Great Deal but......

There's a great deal on a condenser mic, I came very close to buying it but I don't use one now and I can't see me using one anytime soon. Here's the deal, it's only good for a few more hours. http://www.guitarcenter.com/Daily-Pick.gc

How many of you have amp gear collecting dust that you bought just because it was a good deal? I know I have too much.

Yes, I have a few too many inexpensive large diameter condensors. Luckily they are pretty useful for vocals and many acoustic instruments in a general sort of way (meaning that they don't excel, but get the job done just fine).

Specifically, those MXL mics are cheap but not nasty. They will sound better in most recording applications than an SM57. I bought one years ago and have used it a handful of times.
