The Richard Thompson signature model is George Lowden at his very best. This instrument has the warm, wonderful voice that we’ve always loved in a Cedar-topped Lowden, and it probably goes without saying that it does DADGAD and other alternative tunings to absolute perfection.



This guitar is Lowden’s “F” size, a small jumbo with an authoritative low-end but also endless sparkle in the highs. The figured Ziricote back and sides give this instrument a keenly focused sound, and are a perfect compliment to the AAAA Cedar top. 1 3/4″ nut, 2 3/16″ string spacing at the saddle, Tasmanian blackwood bindings, abalone rosette and Gotoh 510 tuners… it’s a looker!

The condition of this guitar is EX+ with hardly a hint that it was ever played. The only imperfection seems to be a tiny (1/8″ or so) finish check at the neck joint on the bass side, shown in the photos on our site.



George Lowden and Richard Thompson are both world renowned as masters of their respective crafts. This partnership was meant to be.
