Default TC Helicon Harmony Singer

Are any of you using this pedal?

I use their H1 for harmonies. It works fine, but the wet/dry control is very sensitive. It goes from dry to wet very quickly so it's sometimes hard to get just the right level of harmonies mixed in.

Is the Harmony Pedal the same way?

I am using the Harmony Singer and I like it much better than the H1 and the Harmony G-XT. Simpler to use.

I didn't notice any diff in the wet/dry knob.

Someone was just asking about the Harmony Singer a few weeks ago here. You can search for that thread. The Harmony Singer (Gen1) is a great pedal and integral in my performances. Everything is great about it except there is no battery power (12v). I get a DIY LED Light battery and reverse the polarity to use for mine. Gen 2 of the Harmony Singer has complaints about its "Auto-Gain" capabilities so I might be wary of that.

I use the Gen 1 harmony singer and have no issues with it. Easy to get the right level and style of harmony.

Been using the Harmony Singer since it came out---easy, no problems.

I have the Boss VE 20 and I had the TC version.

The Boss blows it out of the water on all counts.

So would the TC Voicelive; but then you're comparing apples to oranges.

Yeah, I really just want a small simple pedal for occasional simple harmonies. Looking at possibly upgrading to the TC Harmony Singer to add their Tone features and reverb.

I bought a Harmony Singer online. It was shown as being the original version one (clearly had the white gain control on the left side in the pictures) but what I got was the version 2...

I hooked it up to my LD Systems Maui 11 last night. The harmonies sound good (just like my TC H1) and the reverb is usable, but the Tone button I'd heard so many good things about actually made the sound less desirable. Sounded thin. I'm thinking that may be because the Maui already has built in processing that adds some EQ, comp, etc and the HS is just adding more to what's already there?

Have the original 12v version, no experience w gen 2. Used sparingly for harmony work and tone additive it is an excellent pedal. Also discovered by accident it will run on 9v though whether this would be good idea long term is another question. Mine is run at 12v from a Cioks DC10.

Over a year w no issues at all. Happy camper.

FWIW, I have version one and didn't care for the tone button---tried it once and never used it---maybe I should give it a shot again; sounds like I may be missing out on something.

I'm sending the pedal back. After A/B-ing it against my TC H1, I decided all I really need is the harmonies the H1 provides. After years of always having some kind of reverb/delay on my voice, I'm kind of liking the sound of it dry for doing solo acoustic gigs. Natural and naked!! ha ha It's more punchy and allows for nice dynamics. The room usually provides some natural reverb and my new LD Maui has some built in processing (EQ/Compression/Limiter) always happening, so the tone is pretty nice just straight into it.
