Ha! Just noticed the "mod"ification, to the thread title. That got a chuckle out of me. The 5 yo Grand daughter sitting next to me said "Papa, what is sooo funny". I love people with a great sense of humor! Lol....whodunnit?😂

Oh Wow! Like a classical Roman looking at a classical Greek piece of art. Wow! You have a really beautiful guitar, a family treasure. Congratulations.

Thanks EvanB! It is a great looking, and playing instrument! It compliments my X20 Artisan
I also own a very nice Larrivee LV O3E, and some high end Breedlove guitars, and a 1/2 dozen other's of various makes. I'm seriously considering selling a few of them, and going with all Emerald's, seriously. The above mentioned guitars, are excellent guitars but, the Emerald, carbon fiber tone, has won me over!

I get that. I suggested thinning the herd... my wife said, "Don't be in a hurry." To this point, my opinion of any guitar I've owned hasn't changed with time. If it was good when new, it stays good. But, these Emeralds are what I take off the wall when I'm ready to play.

Goodness, that X7 of yours is a beauty!

Hey Ed, glad you're still enjoying the amber X20 you got from me. I understand that my custom woody X20 I ordered with the funds of the X20 sale to you might arrive to me late in June. I'm looking forward to having and hearing it soon!

Congrats on the gorgeous X7! That's a stunner!!

In the words of the philosopher Billy Preston: Will it go 'round in circles! Cool to see any of these guitars go from one good home to another, and know that they are going to see lots of playing time.

Perhaps OT: a few days ago on the main forum, there was some discussion about Jim from Guitar Rodeo/The Podium closing up shop. I mentioned the 814ce I bought from Jim (the first of my on-line "bought without seeing in person" purchases), and the gentleman who bought the Taylor 114ce I traded on that posted that he is still happily playing that guitar. Made me smile.

I don't know if this is true, but it seems me that other than the makers the Podium was one of two independent guitar repair shops in the US that worked on CF instruments. Michael went out of business about two years ago.

It appears that CF instruments are so fine that repairs are not needed. Or, the makers are doing all their own repairs. Or, there are repair shops that I have not heard of???
