Good advise

Snowman,
I picked up the Grizzly 14" a couple of years ago and have been very happy with it. I also got the 6 inch riser for it and have cut a few backs and sides with it. I would recommend them.

Thanks for the heads up.
Is far as I can tell the 14" is a pretty good value when compared to some other brands that are just above the "hobby level"..there are a lot of great 14" out there it appears with some cool features, but the prices are pretty scattered.

I wonder if Grizzly has a reconditioned section or has sales upcoming any time soon.

I know they have two tent sales scheduled this year for their scratch and dent sale. One in Bellingham WA on May 6th and one in Springfield MO on June 3rd.

Seeing as I'm in Ga it would have to be a REALLY cutting discount to make it worth it haha

Any reasonable-quality Delta- or Jet-pattern 14" bandsaw is a good value and can often be found very reasonably on CL.

Remember that most 14" saws that are used are kits, more or less. They'll need new bearings, wheel realignment, new tires, better guides, more powerful motors, better fences, better bases....the list goes on.

But a well-set-up 14" saw is a workhorse...

The search officially ended.
I feel a 14" will do me a while thus a nice grizzly G0555LX was assembled today

Setup was fairly simple as far as I can tell and it cuts really well and is super smooth.

You'll get a lot of mileage out of that...
