That's funny you said that because I was just going try to learn that earlier today. But again, no tabs. Just chords. I was going to learn Open Arms by Journey yesterday. But I came across the same problem.
I already know both on guitar (finger style and chords). So I could always transfer it from guitar to ukulele. But that's a lot of work. I don't know the fretboard well enough to know what each note is. I mean I do (when I'm actually playing guitar), but to bring it to ukulele I have to really think about it and write each note down, then pick up my ukulele and try to find each note on there. And write them down into tab form. I've done it before with short pieces of music but nothing as long as a whole song. Which brings me to my point of why I lost interest.

I never played chord melody on the guitar, but when I got an uke, I decided I would just dive in and give it a shot. I usually only really use the top 3 strings on the uke anyways, so there's not too many chord shapes to try out -- usually it's the D-shape, the E shape, or the A-shape.

It was fun to take a song with simple chords (like Leavin' on a Jet Plane) and just sounding out the melody by ear. Now I'm starting to do the same thing on guitar.

It's also fun to take songs you already know and play them on uke:
