Eastman E8D - NAMM show demo model
I bought this guitar from Soundpure in Durham, NC. The salesman indicated it was used as a demo at the NAMM show. I can see why - the woods are beautiful, and it sounds incredible - easily one of the best Eastmans I've heard (I've seen my share). Please email me to request hi-res photos.
Here are some features: Solid Sitka Top - lots of silking Solid EI Rosewood Back and sides - very nice grain Ebony fretboard and bridge Mahogany neck with quite a bit of flame - something Eastman is known for Beautiful herringbone trim around top and back edges, as well as herrinbone strip along the back Medium thickness C shape neck 1 3/4" nut width, 25.4 scale length Hard shell case Full fret level, crown, polish and setup done by Maple Street Guitars in Atlanta. Action set at slightly under 3/32nds on the low E side. Room at saddle to go further, but I dont think you would need to. I would call the condition near mint due to one pin head sized ding near the herringbone binding which is extremely hard to see, a faint swirl on the headstock presumably from a string winder, and some very light swirls on the back that are only visible up close and in a certain light. The case is in perfect condition having not left my smoke free house but a handful of times. $Sold Edit: I've decided I do not want to ship this guitar right now due to changing climate and a very thin finish on the guitar. I am happy to meet anyone in the greater Atlanta area to show the guitar. Will also drive further away (Bham, Chattanooga, Greenville, Augusta, etc) for anyone who is positive they want the guitar. One last possibility: I will be driving to DC on Jan 8th. If you live along that route at all (Charlotte, Durham, Richmond, etc), I could possibly meet you. Selling because I have a real GAS problem. Plain and simple. The below link is to my actual guitar. Please email me for current photos or an in hand description. http://www.soundpure.com/p/eastman-e...tar-5484/10408 Last edited by Jefferson; 12-29-2014 at 01:15 PM. |

One note: the website incorrectly indicates that it has a rosewood fretboard. This guitar has an ebony freyboard (a beautiful one at that).

Another thing to add: the pickguard has not been installed on this guitar. I have the original adhesive-backed pickguard which can be installed if you prefer, but I like it without.

Good morning Jefferson,
Is this Eastman 2 3/16 or 2 1/4 string spacing at the saddle? |

I'll have to measure that when I return from Thanksgiving travels - I'll post it Sunday.
Thanks! |

No worries. I found the specs online. According to Eastman website, string spacing at saddle is 2 5/32". Cheers. |

Updated price to $650. Also I've decided I do not want to ship this guitar due to changing climate and a very thin finish on the guitar.
