Default I'll Be Here At Closing Time.....

J.D. Souther isn't an household name, but he's written many songs for people who are. A few years back he put out a recording of remakes of his own songs and it was pretty fabulous. Here's my version of one the tunes from that CD. This was literally done 15 minutes after I learned the song, and with some new gear, so be kind!! Turn the volume slider up on the Box player before listening

Yes - the C9 (and for the first time with hard tension strings) Thanks for listening and glad you enjoyed it.

The J.D. album I was referring to is Natural History from a few years back. VERY well recorded and he changed up the style of some of his tunes (like New Kid in Town) to make them his own.

Hi Todd,

That was REALLY enjoyable! Great to hear you singing so well and your guitar sounds really good. I have always enjoyed the songs of J.D. Souther.

That was well done!

- Glenn

Thanks Glenn - I found out later I probably should have done it another half step higher to fit my voice, but for a first run it came out pretty good. Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks - I actually tried something different this time. I'd been running my mics right into the Tascam DP-01FX, but I wondered what would happen if I used my Alto 802 mixer with everything tweaked and run one of the main outs into the Tascam. I think it's much more "rich" than what I was getting using only the controls on the Tascam.
