Anyone tried the Fishman AFX Chorus?
It sure ain't cheap! I have been disatified with the Boss CE-1 and CH-1 models. This one touts being specially designed for an acoustic guitar. Just curious if anyone has given it a try.

I'd be interested in this too. I have a Boss CE-2 (I believe... it's powder blue in color, but it's at church and I can't confirm the model number now...) and I was thinking of finding something better as well.
I had one of the newer Boss chorus pedals, but found I liked the sound of this older one better (circa 1975 or so...) I had one of the Fishman Aura pedals (just sold it today) and I can tell you that the build quality of that pedal is amazing! It was the most solidly built pedal I've ever seen. The chorus pedal looks to be made out of the same metal box. Doesn't tell you anything about the sound of the chorus effect itself, but at least you'll know the guts of it resides in a superbly made pedal.

I can probably let you know after Saturday. My friend's I play music with just ordered the Chorus, Reverb, and delay pedals. He expects it here tomorrow. We have practice on Saturday and we already agreed we were going to run them through a test on both of our guitars.
Even if it blows me away I think i'm still going to wait and see if Fishman comes out with a multi pedal. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a new Aura blender with effects built into the same pedal. |
