Depends on the parts. Pickups, tuners, etc.? Yes. Bridge, saddles, etc.? No.

The short answer is most likely yes!

Try to find a phone number and ask a sales rep. Then ask for a money back guarantee if it doesn't work.

I don't take any chances. You never know, string spacing could be different by model/year.

I have no authority or experience whatsoever to validate my post.

If you buy MIM hardware it will fit. If you buy MIA hardware it will not. But again, it all depends on what hardware you are referring to. It would help if you were more specific. Tuners, etc. will fit. Bridges and saddles won't.

No, it really isn't. Take saddles for instance, the adjustment screws are positioned differently on MIA saddles than on MIM saddles (MIMs are centered while the MIA saddles have offset screws). They are not interchangeable and even aftermarket saddles specify on their packaging which model they are designed to fit.

I have upgraded a couple of MIM Strats so am speaking from experience here. Take a look at the saddles at the links below. It is very obvious that they are not interchangeable.

MIM:

MIA:

Not exactly. Some MIM and MIA bridges are interchangeable, and the saddles are designed to fit certain bridges, not specifically MIM or MIA guitars. It depends on the string spacing of the models in question. The correct answer is it depends--in general most MIA parts are interchangeable with MIM parts, but verify before you buy.

When I put my parts-o-caster together a few years ago I bought a Mexi body. Only after that did I realize I couldn't put on the standard American tremolo on that body. So double check everything.

My experience is with Standards and MIM Standards and MIA Standards have different string spacing.

The plate and guard should be fine. But when you say 'hardware' are you including the bridge and saddles (I would if discussing hardware)? If you are then no, you cannot use MIA stuff but you can easily find MIM stuff in gold.
