He is wrong. On Standards the MIA bridge will not fit a MIM. Hell, they don't even have the same tremolo screws (two vs. six). But if you take the bridge from an AVRI then yes, that will fit a MIM Standard (in many ways the MIM Standards are more historically correct than the MIA Standards are).
