Default [ SOLD ] Martin SP000-16TR Limited Edition (OMJM specs) (Audio Sample)

You'll hear a lot of folks describe the SP000-16TR as an OMJM without the signature (and the price tag). It certainly inspired many of the OMJM's features: 000 body, full gloss nitrocellulose finish, multi-colored backstrip, pearl soundhole rosette, and the 1 11/16" neck favored by Mayer and other electric/acoustic players.

I'd describe its sound as more open and balanced than the tightly focused mid-range of an OMJM. It is a bright, warm and deeply resonant pleasure to play, with no issues whatsoever other than the typical wear of a guitar well-played and well-taken care of.

Includes original Martin thermoplastic case and all original case candy.

One of only 136 made. Paper label signed by C.F. Martin IV. Weighs in at just 4 lbs 1.7oz.

Asking $1375.00 (plus $75.00 CONUS shipping).

Selling to fund a Grail. No trades, please.

Courtesy bump for a seldom-seen Martin model that punches WAY above its weight. I owned one of these for about seven years, and it's a spectacular guitar. It works especially well for fingerstyle, but when strummed it's full-throated and rich. From the inlays on the bridge to the tasteful aging toner, these are real lookers, and when I A/B'd it against the Eric Clapton model, the tone and clarity of this model won easily.

Best of luck with your sale, GlenGurian!
