1986 Gibson J-30 (no-bling Hummingbird with white finish)
This is an extremely rare guitar. It is basically a Hummingbird without the bling. This was the period when Gibson started making guitars the right way again after the dreaded "norlin" era. This is the first of those new era Gibsons. It is very light weight and sounds very sweet. It has that dry "thumpy" sound of a good Gibson square shoulder dread like M. Ward has. I bought it specifically for that sound. Solid mahogany back/sides and sitka spruce top. The white finish is absolutely stunning to behold and this would make a great guitar for touring and album covers as well. 1-11/16" nut width. Price dropped to $1,150 paypaled and shipped to continental USA. I have excellent forum and ebay feedback.

She found a new home long ago but keep your eyes peeled. These 86 to early nineties Gibsons are real sleepers. Light builds with scalloped bracing and they are starting to reach that magical age for good mojo and tone.
