These guys are simply brilliant in my opinion, while this is not an acoustic version of stuff they have done, if you want to see that just look for Taylor videos they have done

Jess Lewis TTNG covers
TTNG = This Town Needs Guns. AKA "math rock." Interesting, but for me, it gets tiring sooner rather than later. Lots of Youtube vids, and a few covers. Check out the Jess Lewis covers, she is an up and comer with a lot of serious chops.

The musicians linked sure have talent beyond me but I'll agree in that I'm not sure they have something that crosses all sorts of boundaries the way truly brilliant musicians do.
