NGD - Martin 000-15M
So, I went to my local guitar shop expecting to compare the Taylor 320 and Martin D15M, and after sitting down and playing each one, I was just not sold on either. Then I eyeballed the 000-15M and gave it a go. As soon as I sat down with and and played it, I knew it was coming home with me. It sounded just as full as the dread version, but was much easier to play. I already have a rosewood dreadnought, so I thought this would be a good complement. I took it home and have not been able to put it down since. This really is an amazing instrument, and for the price, it has to be one of the best bargains Martin has out there. I am totally digging the chocolate color of the guitar - looks very old school. And the aroma .... the smell of angels.

I've posted it before, I have a number of friends with very nice Martin collections, high enders, but more than a few still have a 15 series 000, they are just really nice guitars.
Congrat on your 000-15M, enjoy.............

And a beauty it is. I like that aroma reference! It also compliments the angels with a "Heavenly" sustain! Congrats on a true treasure. J.D. |

Congrats to you!
What a beauty! For mostly fingerstyle I assume? I am looking for a hog myself, again, wow, she is a looker! Nice camera too. Last edited by Riverwolf; 10-28-2013 at 01:32 PM. |

Gotta love it when you play a specific guitar for the first time and you know you're taking it home. Congrats!

I agree with llew...I recently let a friend play all of my guitars, his favorite was the 000-15sm and Bourgeois dread. That says a lot! Congrats on getting a keeper!1

Looks like one of Ted's customs with that binding.

Was thinking the same thing.
OP, you should measure the nut width, and the E to E string spacing at the bridge when you get a moment. If they are 1.75" and 2.25", respectively, then you may indeed have one of Ted's customs. This guitar was a trade in, yes?

Played one myself yesterday and loved it too! Great tone, playability and expressiveness! I think I need a Rosewood Dread and Mahogany 00/000!

Congratulations, and welcome to the club! As much as I love all of my guitars, there's something special that happens when I pick up the 00015M. I wouldn't want it to happen, but if ever I had to only keep one, this might be it...
