Default SOLD! 2004 Ted Thompson T2X Deluxe 12 fret Cutaway Cedar / Maple / Macassar

Hello,

I'm offering for sale a Ted Thompson T2X Deluxe, 12 fret cutaway. Highly-figured maple back and sides, and a cedar top with nice tight grain and silking. Macassar ebony fingerboard and headstock overlay. To me, there is a visual elegance to the guitar just in the wood selection.

1 3/4" nut, 25 5/8" scale length. 60mm string spacing at bridge.

Lush overtones and the sound seems to swell before decaying. A unique guitar with all the right specs!

There are some marks here and there in the form of honest play wear, but overall the guitar is in very good condition. There is some mild fretwear, evident but not affecting playing and in my opinion not in need of any work any time soon. There is a repaired crack in the side, it is smooth to the touch and blends well especially given the figure. It is also in an inconspicuous location, on the treble side right in the waist where it would rest on a player's leg. There is a little spot of worn finish by it as well, a closeup is in the pictures.

An incredible example of Ted Thompson's work. I think I will be sad to see it go. Asking SOLD with shipping included, paypal gift. Happy to accept regular paypal if you don't mind paying the fee.

Thanks for looking!

more pictures here.

Default In their own special space ...

Ted Thompson's guitars are one of the under recognized marvels of the guitar world. They are simply a pleasure to hear and play. I'm sorry that I couldn't make my hands fit the one I had better. It was a tooth puller to let it go.
